Moxie Slot Machine Rewards Borderlands 3.5
Max Moxxi makes her return debut in Borderlands 3, and she’s still got all the spice you remember from previous games. You’ll find her tending bar and slinging casino chips in her corner of Sanctuary III, your space-faring home-away-from-home. If you’ve got the cash, there’s a funny little Easter egg and achievement / trophy you can unlock that’s all about donating.
This returning secret was first discovered in Borderlands 2. While it isn’t quite the same, you’ll still get a gun for donating a certain amount of cash to Moxxi’s tip jar. If you keep donating, the guns might just be random, but at least one of them you’ll get every single time. Learn all about this mysterious tip jar in the full guide below.

Get Secret Guns From Moxxi’s Tip Jar | ‘Tips Appreciated’ Guide
To get this extremely gaudy gun, you’ll need to save up your scratch and start donating to Moxxi’s Tip Jar. You’ll find the Tip Jar in Moxxi’s Bar in the Sanctuary III ship.
You’ll unlock the ship early in the game — after completing a few areas on Pandora, you’ll be off to Promethea. To get there, Lilith will show you the fabulous Sanctuary III, where all your old quest-giving pals will hang out together.
When you interact with Moxxi’s Tip Jar, you can donate different amounts. No matter how much you donate, you’ll earn the ‘Tips Appreciated‘ achievement / trophy for giving anything at all. In the same room, you can also earn the ‘Dropping Loads‘ achievement / trophy for playing the slot machine until a live grenade pops out.
But, if you’re interested in getting this unique gun, you’ll need a lot of money. You have to donate 30,000 cash — and it only works if you donate in 1,000 increments. Basically, donate 1,000 bucks 30 times and this fancy, fashionable weapon will pop out.
There are more guns you can find here if you’re willing to keep donating. This is just a weird little secret for dedicated Vault Hunters. The gun ain’t half bad either.
The mother of all cash-farming tricks has landed in Borderlands 3, and anyone that’s finished the game can benefit from massive payouts to Moxxi’s Slot Machines in Sanctuary. This trick essentially multiples the amount of cash you earn from the slot machines by a thousand.
There’s a few things you need to do first, but it’s really very easy — and I recommend doing it quick before the trick gets patched out of existence. This method was shared by Youtuber Glitching Queen. All kudos for this discovery go to her — she did all the math. All I see are huge money symbols in my eyes as I rake in the seemingly endless dough.

Moxxi’s Bar Slot Machines | Fast Money Trick
Borderlands 3 Slot Machines
To increase the payouts at Moxxi’s Bar, you’ll need to do a little preparation. Spawn in Sanctuary, then go to the Mayhem Board — this trick requires some Mayhem, it may even require Mayhem 3. Turn on Mayhem III.
Don’t worry, you don’t actually have to fight anything. It also helps if you’re Level 50 — you’ll get bigger payouts the higher your levels. Also, make sure you’re doing this offline.
So, to reiterate, you need to be offline, and you need to activate Mayhem III. It might work while online, so it’s worth testing — some players say it still works, but I can only get it to work offline.
Next, you just need to travel to a new location. Go anywhere on any map — I travel to the Floodmoor Basin on Eden-6, but anywhere works. When you return to Sanctuary, all the money payouts at the slot machines are $1,000x bigger. That’s three more zeroes to every payout.
To really make big money, you need to keep playing until you get a huge three-cash payout. That’ll net you about $500,000~. The problem is? That’s pretty rare, so you’ll need to save up some cash before attempting this.
I recommend using the Tink Hijinx and Cash Trap machines. They’re right next to each other, and you can keep spinning forever. Goodluck out there Vault Hunters, there’s plenty of cash just waiting to collect.
